We are a coalition of climate, anti-war, sustainability & social justice activists supporting a back-to-the-drawing board approach to the I-5 expansion and transportation priorities that de-prioritizes highway expansions and puts as its first goal reducing air pollution, decreasing our use of foreign oil, and improving our regions bike and public transportation infrastructure.
We also question spending $4.2 billion on transportation at a time when budget cuts are taking place which put extra burden on low- and middle-income families and will highlight better uses for this money both within and outside of transportation policy.
